Caroline's drawing for Paula Berg, Divorce Lawyer in Newton, MAYou are looking into family lawyers, and this means you are going through one of the most difficult times in your life. You are hoping to find someone skilled, who can answer your questions and who will listen to your goals and concerns. You may not be sure if you want to go ahead with this transition. You may just be trying to gather information.

The fact is, most people going through these initial stages are unsure of what to even ask. I am skilled at helping you achieve clarity about what you would like to do. We will consider your options, explore all the potential outcomes of each option, and develop a strategy for how to proceed. We will analyze your strengths, explore your exposure, assess your risk tolerance, and develop several possible courses of action. Your questions will be answered and you will leave feeling clear and informed. Most importantly, you will have an action plan. Even if this action plan is to “see how it goes,” you will know what to look for and be armed with a contingency plan.

I care about you, your finances and your family. I have over twenty years of legal experience and a background in psychology. I’ve volunteered as co-Chair of the Legislative Policy Committee of the Women’s Bar Association and as Judicial Liaison of the Massachusetts Association of Guardians ad litem (MAGAL). As President of MAGAL from 2016 – 2018, I continued helping to develop policy and procedures for GALs and Parent Coordinators. I currently serve as Chair of the Committee to Revise the Guardian ad litem Standards for the Chief Justice of the Probate and Family Court, all serving to keep me on the cutting edge of new and proposed changes in the law and how those changes affect you and your family.
